Can I set a custom output size?

Yes. Open the Output Size accordion, click Custom, and type your own width and height. Empty fields resolve to a 900 × 900 default. Supports dimensions up to 8192 pixels per side.
What do Contain, Cover, and Stretch fit modes do?

Contain fits the subject inside the preset frame preserving its aspect - leaves padding if aspect differs. Cover scales the subject to fill the entire frame, cropping what doesn't fit. Stretch distorts the subject to exactly match the frame dimensions.
What happens with complex backgrounds?

The AI works best with clear contrast between subject and background. Very low contrast, heavily textured, or cluttered backgrounds may produce softer edges. Use the Refinement brush to clean up any rough spots manually.
Does it handle hair and fine details?

Tips for Best Results
Use clear, well-lit photos
The AI works best with good contrast between subject and background. Even lighting and sharp focus produce cleaner edges than dim or soft-focus photos.
Fix edges with the Erase / Restore brush
If the AI gets something wrong - leaves a stray bit of background, trims too much hair, or misses a thin shape - open the Refinement accordion and paint it back with Erase or Restore. Much faster than redoing the whole removal.
Lower the brush size for fine details
Default brush is 9 px. For hair, fur, jewelry, or other delicate areas, keep it small; for big cleanup, slide it up to 150 px. Brush size stays at whatever you last set even after uploading new images.
Use Compare to verify
Click Compare to toggle a side-by-side view of the original and your cutout. It's the fastest way to spot missed bits or over-trimmed areas before downloading.
Paste screenshots directly (Ctrl+V)
Instead of saving a screenshot to disk and uploading it, take the screenshot (Win+Shift+S on Windows, Cmd+Shift+Ctrl+4 on Mac) and just press Ctrl+V in the tool. Massively faster.
Marketplace presets auto-switch to white
Amazon, eBay, Etsy, and other marketplace presets automatically set the background to white - the format those platforms require. You don't need to remember marketplace rules.
Pick the right Fit mode for presets
Contain fits your subject with aspect-correct padding (marketplace-safe). Cover fills the whole frame, cropping overflow (edge-to-edge social media shots). Stretch distorts to match exactly (rarely what you want for products).
Adjust Padding in Contain mode
Amazon and similar marketplaces require the product to fill about 85 % of the frame. The Padding slider (0–25 %, default 5 %) gives you precise control over the breathing room around your subject.
Higher resolution helps
The AI produces sharper edges on higher-resolution images. Avoid heavily compressed, low-quality source photos if you need crisp cutouts.
Save as PNG or WebP
Both preserve transparency. PNG is lossless but larger; WebP is roughly 30–50 % smaller at comparable quality. For web and social media, WebP is usually the better choice.
Works offline after first use
After your first visit, the tool works with no internet - useful on planes, trains, or any offline workstation.
Center your subject in the frame
The AI detects subjects best when they are roughly centered and fully visible. Edge-cropped subjects may lose detail at the boundaries.
Avoid busy, cluttered backgrounds
Solid or simple backgrounds produce the cleanest automatic results. For complex scenes, expect to do a bit of cleanup with the Erase brush.
Try multiple Fit modes when things look off
If a preset's output looks awkward, cycle through Contain / Cover / Stretch - the best choice often depends on your subject's aspect ratio and how much of the frame you want filled.
