How to Use This Tool
Upload Your SVG Files
Click the upload area to pick files, drag and drop them in, or paste an SVG file from your clipboard with Ctrl+V. Add up to 10 SVG files at once, up to 25 MB per file and 100 MB in total. Only SVG files are accepted.
Choose a Scale
Pick a scale from the dropdown: 0.5x for thumbnails, 1x for original size, 2x for high-DPI screens, or 3x and 4x for print and large displays. Higher scales produce larger, sharper PNG images.
Convert
Click Convert or Convert All. Each SVG is processed in turn, with a progress spinner on every thumbnail. Conversion happens instantly on your device.
Download
Download a single converted PNG directly, or grab the whole batch as one ZIP archive. Each file keeps its original name with the extension changed to .png.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this tool really free?
▼
Yes, completely free with no limits, no sign-up, and no watermarks. Everything runs in your browser, so there are no server costs and nothing to charge for.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
▼
No. Your files never leave your device. All conversion happens directly in your browser. No server uploads, no external calls, 100% private.
What does the scale setting do?
▼
The scale multiplier controls the output PNG resolution. An SVG of 200 by 150 at 2x produces a 400 by 300 PNG. Higher scales mean more pixels, sharper detail, and larger files. Use 1x for the original size, 2x for high-DPI screens, and 3x or 4x for print.
Why does my PNG have a white background?
▼
Many SVGs have transparent backgrounds. Since many places where you use a PNG (documents, slides, email) do not handle transparency well, the tool fills transparent areas with white. If you need a transparent PNG, edit the result in an image editor.
What scale should I use for favicons?
▼
Favicons are typically 16, 32, or 48 pixels square. If your SVG is designed at those dimensions, use 1x. If your SVG is much larger, convert at 1x and then resize down with our Image Resizer tool.
Can I convert animated SVGs?
▼
The tool captures a static snapshot of the SVG at its initial state. CSS animations, SMIL animations, and any script-driven animation are not preserved - the result is always a single still image.
Why do some SVGs look different after conversion?
▼
If your SVG uses fonts that are not embedded, or links to images or styles outside the file, those resources may not be available during conversion. The result captures exactly what your browser can render on its own, so missing fonts fall back to a default.
Why won't my SVG convert?
▼
SVGs that have no width, height, or viewBox attributes may not produce a usable size when loaded, so the tool cannot convert them. Open the file and add explicit dimensions or a viewBox, then try again.
What is the maximum file size?
▼
Each file can be up to 25 MB, with a total limit of 100 MB across all uploaded files. You can upload up to 10 SVG files at once.
Will my work be saved if I refresh or close the tab?
▼
Yes. Your uploaded files and converted results are automatically saved on your device, so refreshing the page or coming back later restores them exactly as you left them. Click Clear All to wipe the saved files.
What Is SVG to PNG Converter?
SVG to PNG Converter is a free tool that turns SVG vector graphics into PNG images right in your browser. SVG is great because it stays sharp at any size, but many platforms, apps, and workflows still need a regular raster image. Pick a scale from 0.5x to 4x, and the tool produces a pixel-perfect PNG that works everywhere PNG is supported. No server uploads, no external calls, 100% private.
Convert up to 10 SVG files at once and download the result as a single file or the whole batch as one ZIP. Your work is saved on your device, so you can refresh or come back later and pick up where you left off.
Features Explained
Five Scale Presets
▼
Pick from 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 3x, or 4x to control the output resolution. A 100 by 100 SVG at 2x produces a 200 by 200 PNG. There are no extra dimension fields to fill in - just pick the scale and convert.
Vector to Raster Conversion
▼
SVG describes shapes with math, while PNG is a grid of pixels. This tool rasterizes the vector into a pixel grid at your chosen scale, producing a standard PNG that works everywhere a raster image is needed.
High-Resolution Output
▼
Use 2x for high-DPI screens like modern laptops and phones, and 3x or 4x for print and large displays. Higher scales produce larger PNGs with more pixels for sharper detail.
Thumbnail Output Option
▼
Drop the scale to 0.5x to produce small, lightweight PNG thumbnails - handy for icons, navigation menus, file listings, or anywhere you need a compact preview.
Automatic White Background
▼
SVGs often have transparent backgrounds. During conversion, transparent areas are filled with white to produce a clean PNG suitable for documents, slides, and platforms that do not handle transparency well.
Aspect Ratio Preserved
▼
The output PNG keeps the exact aspect ratio of the source SVG. The scale multiplier applies equally to width and height, so your image is never stretched or distorted.
Batch Conversion
▼
Drop in up to 10 SVG files at once and convert them all in a single click using the same scale. Every file is processed in turn with its own progress spinner, and a failed file never stops the rest of the batch.
Single File or ZIP Download
▼
Download a single converted PNG directly, or grab the whole batch as one ZIP archive when you have more than one file. Each file inside keeps its original name with the extension changed to .png.
Drag, Drop and Paste
▼
Drop SVG files straight from your file explorer, click to browse, or press Ctrl+V to paste an SVG file directly from your clipboard. The drop area highlights when a file is dragged over it.
100% Browser-Based Processing
▼
All conversion happens directly in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to any server and no third-party services touch them. Complete privacy for every SVG you convert.

Tips for Best Results
Use 2x for high-DPI screens
Modern laptops and phones use roughly 2x pixel density. Converting at 2x produces PNGs that look sharp on these displays without being unnecessarily large.
Use 4x for print
Print materials need high resolution. Converting at 4x gives you enough pixels for crisp printed output - a 100 by 100 SVG becomes a 400 by 400 PNG.
Use 0.5x for thumbnails
If you need small preview images or thumbnails, 0.5x produces compact PNGs that load quickly. Ideal for file listings, navigation menus, and sidebars.
Keep your original SVGs
SVG is resolution-independent, so you can always re-convert at a different scale later. Keep the vector originals and generate PNGs as needed for each use case.
White background is applied
SVGs with transparent backgrounds get a white fill during conversion. If you need true transparency in the PNG, open the result in an image editor afterwards and remove the white background.
Great for email graphics
Email clients do not support SVG. Convert your SVG icons, logos, and newsletter graphics to PNG before inserting them into email templates.
Convert for social media
Social platforms do not accept SVG uploads. Convert to PNG at 2x for sharp, high-quality images on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
Convert icon sets in batches
If you have an icon library in SVG format, drop all icons in at once, pick your scale, and download the entire set as one ZIP of PNGs.
Make sure your SVG has a size
SVG files need intrinsic dimensions or a viewBox to convert. If a file does not produce a result, open it in a code editor and add explicit width and height attributes.
Animations and missing fonts
Animated SVGs become a single static frame, and any font that is not embedded falls back to a default. If precise typography matters, convert your fonts to outlines in your design tool before exporting the SVG.
