Frequently Asked Questions

Is this tool really free?

Yes, completely free with no limits, no sign-up, and no watermarks. Everything runs in your browser, so there are no server costs and nothing to charge for.

Is my text uploaded to a server?

No. Your text never leaves your device. All conversion happens directly in your browser. No server uploads, no external calls, 100% private.

What is the difference between the two modes?

Small Caps converts lowercase letters into characters that look like uppercase letters but at lowercase height, like this: sᴍᴀʟʟ ᴄᴀᴘs. Superscript converts letters, numbers, and a few symbols into tiny raised characters, like this: ˢᵘᵖᵉʳˢᶜʳⁱᵖᵗ.

Can I paste the result into social media?

Yes. The output uses special characters that can be copied and pasted into Instagram bios, Twitter posts, Facebook comments, Discord messages, WhatsApp chats, and most other platforms that support text.

Why do some characters not convert?

Not every letter has a small caps or superscript equivalent. For example, the letter q has no standard superscript character. Characters without an equivalent pass through unchanged.

Does it convert numbers?

In Superscript mode, digits 0 through 9 are converted to their raised equivalents (like 1 becomes a tiny raised 1). In Small Caps mode, numbers pass through unchanged since there are no small-cap digits.

What about uppercase letters?

Uppercase letters are converted to their lowercase equivalent first, then transformed. There are no uppercase superscript or small-cap characters, so the result always looks lowercase.

Can I upload a text file?

Yes. Click Upload to pick a .txt file, or drag and drop a text file directly onto the input area. The file contents are loaded and converted live.

Does the output look the same everywhere?

Most modern platforms and devices display these characters correctly, but some older systems or unusual fonts may show them differently or as empty boxes. Sans-serif fonts tend to give the best results.

Will my text be saved if I refresh?

Yes. Your input text is saved on your device automatically, so refreshing the page brings it back. The selected mode resets to Small Caps on a fresh load. Click Clear All to wipe everything.

Tips for Best Results

Works on most platforms

Small caps and superscript characters work on Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram, TikTok, and most messaging apps and social platforms.

Not every character converts

A few letters like q in superscript have no equivalent and pass through unchanged. This is a limitation of the character set, not a bug.

Font rendering varies

Some fonts and platforms display these characters more consistently than others. Sans-serif fonts generally give the best results.

Great for exponents and footnotes

Superscript mode is perfect for writing exponents like x2, footnote markers like 123, and simple mathematical notation in plain text.

Small caps for elegant headings

Small caps give text a refined, professional appearance. They are commonly used in legal documents, book titles, and branding.

Numbers only convert in Superscript

In Superscript mode, digits 0 through 9 become tiny raised numbers. In Small Caps mode, numbers pass through unchanged since there are no small-cap digits.

Paste directly from clipboard

Press Ctrl+V to paste any text into the input area. The converted output appears instantly, ready to copy and use.

Try both modes on the same text

Switch between Small Caps and Superscript to see which style fits your use case better. The input stays the same while you toggle.

Combine with other text tools

Use with our Bold and Italic generator, Strikethrough, or Zalgo text tools for layered creative text effects.

Privacy is built in

Your text is processed entirely on your device and is never sent anywhere. Click Clear All to wipe the input and the saved copy at any time.
