PM to military: add 12
To convert PM times, add 12 to the hour. 1 PM = 13:00, 5 PM = 17:00, 11 PM = 23:00.
Military to PM: subtract 12
For hours 13 and above, subtract 12 to get the PM hour. 17:00 = 5:00 PM.
Midnight is 00:00
12:00 AM in 12-hour time is 00:00 in military time. This is the most commonly confused conversion.
Noon is 12:00
12:00 PM stays 12:00 in military time. It does not become 00:00 or 24:00.
