Common resolutions

Screen size is diagonal
Measure or look up the diagonal measurement of the screen in inches, not the width or height.
Higher PPI = sharper
A 24-inch 4K monitor has about 184 PPI, while a 24-inch Full HD monitor has about 92 PPI. Double the resolution means double the sharpness.
Phone vs monitor PPI
Phones typically have 300-500+ PPI. Monitors usually have 90-160 PPI. This is why text looks sharper on your phone even at lower resolution.
